Pastor Kevin Metsinger
Pastor Kevin Metsinger was born in Lawrence, KS in 1959. He and his family came to Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple in June of 1990. Since then the church has seen solid growth, both spiritually and numerically. Pastor Metsinger attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and served on several church staffs before being called to pastor.
Pastor Metsinger and his wife Lucinda (Cindi) raised three sons: Jeremiah pastors South Knollwood Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. He and his wife Melissa have blessed the Metsinger’s with five grandchildren. Their second son Benjamin, his wife Kelsey have blessed the Metsinger's with three grandchildren, and they serve at Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown, IA. The Metsinger’s third son Nathan have blessed the Metsinger's with two grandchildren. 
Youth Director - Lalo & Caitlyn Leyva
Lalo was born October 10th,1999. He made a profession of faith at the age of 7, but it was not until his freshman year of Bible college at Heartland Baptist Bible College that he truly settled his salvation. Shortly after God instilled the call of ministry into his heart. Lalo met his wife Caitlin while attending Bible College and they were married shortly before finishing college. After meeting Pastor Kevin Metisnger, Lalo and Caitlyn felt led to move to Shawnee, Kansas and work with the youth at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple. Missionary Richard Crotts III
Richard was born January 20th, 1995. When he was ten years old his Family became missionaries in Papua New Guinea. At the age of 17 he surrendered to be a Missionary to Papua New Guinea. When he turned 21 Richard returned to PNG to attend Islands Baptist Bible College and begin his training for full time ministry. Richard returned to the United States two and a half years later and traveled with his grandparents while they were on furlough. During this time Richard met Lesley, they were engaged February 14th, 2019. Richard returned to Papua New Guinea for another eight months of studies. He returned to the States and began working at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple December 1st, 2019. Richard And Lesley were married on January 10th, 2020 and have two children, Abigail and Richard IV. |
