Pastor Kevin Metsinger
Pastor Kevin Metsinger was born in Lawrence, KS in 1959. He and his family came to Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple in June of 1990. Since then the church has seen solid growth, both spiritually and numerically. Pastor Metsinger attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and served on several church staffs before being called to pastor.
Pastor Metsinger and his wife Lucinda (Cindi) raised three sons: Jeremiah pastors South Knollwood Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. He and his wife Melissa have blessed the Metsinger’s with five grandchildren. Their second son Benjamin, his wife Kelsey have blessed the Metsinger's with three grandchildren, and they serve at Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown, IA. The Metsinger’s third son Nathan have blessed the Metsinger's with two grandchildren.
Youth Director - Charles Marino
Charles Marino was raised at the North Love Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois. It was at this church where he was saved in January of 2007. He felt the call to preach in high school and attended Heartland Baptist Bible College to pursue that calling.
Eight days after graduating from Heartland, he married Crystal (Rice). After the wedding, Charles and Crystal returned to Crystal’s hometown of Fritch, Texas to work as the youth director at Faith Baptist Church.
In January 2020, God directed Charles, Crystal, and their baby daughter Charlotte to join the staff at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple as the youth director.
Missionary Intern - Richard Crotts III
Richard was born January 20th, 1995. When he was ten years old his Family became missionaries in Papua New Guinea. At the age of 17 he surrendered to be a Missionary to Papua New Guinea. When he turned 21 Richard returned to PNG to attend Islands Baptist Bible College and begin his training for full time ministry.
Richard returned to the United States two and a half years later and traveled with his grandparents while they were on furlough. During this time Richard met Lesley, they were engaged February 14th, 2019. Richard returned to Papua New Guinea for another eight months of studies. He returned to the States and began working at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple December 1st, 2019. Richard And Lesley were married on January 10th, 2020 and have one child, Abigail.
Richard and Lesley are currently serving together at Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple as the Lord prepares them for the mission field.
