Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

June 2011
Dear Pastors, Friends and Family,
God has placed before us some exciting opportunities and we feel that it is time to enlist your prayer support in what is before us. We have been asked to join the team of missionaries in the city of Mannheim, Germany under Bro. Tom Lancaster at the Rhein River Baptist Church. This is a military church, but is becoming more and more an international church.
There is a need for a full time missionary to minister to the Germanāspeaking congregation and we’e been asked to fulfill this need. The Rhein River Baptist Church is one of our supporting churches and they have been very instrumental in our lives. While I was in the military, I had the privilege to go to this church and it was here that God worked on my heart through the timely words of Bro. Lancaster. He made a simple statement that there are more Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching churches to the military in Germany than to the Germans. God used this statement to start opening my eyes to the need of the German people. I believe the need is greater today than back then. As the military presence in Mannheim decreases and the German presence increases, Bro. Lancaster needs someone that speaks German to help the work transition to an international church trying to reach the Germans. We realize that this will not be a simple transition. There are many questions that are unanswered and some that we have not even considered as of yet, but we are confident that God will work all things for His glory.
Because of this move we realize that it would be wise for us to give up our apartment here in Dresden before we take our furlough in October. We have given our 3-month notice and are already packing our belongings to put them into storage for our time in the States. We would greatly covet your prayers that God will give us wisdom in the matters that lie before us. We also want to assure everyone that we are still here in Germany to preach the Gospel to the Germans and anyone else that will listen.
Thank you for prayer in this matter and we look forward to seeing many of you on furlough.
Your Missionaries in Germany,
Walter Clark and Family
