And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

We have seen sporadic violence lately in Cote d'Ivoire, but nothing that has changed our daily routine, until one day in late February. As we were leaving the market area our car was surrounded by a mob of 100 men. They forced our doors and stole my computer bag from the back seat. We lost $8,000, my computer, wallet, credit cards, a checkbook and numerous important documents. The banks had closed earlier in February due to the civil war, and it was necessary to carry all of our ministry funds with us.
Upon arrival back at our compound, I found an old pad of checks, but the only businesses open and able to cash a foreign check were in Abidjan, about three hours away. I made the drive by cover of night and cashed a check to give us money for everyday expenses, but because of the spreading violence, a Muslim friend insisted on driving me back to Yamoussoukro. We made the journey safely, but the violence and unrest have only increased. We need your prayers and support now more thatn ever.
